Roy Lichtenstein

American artist Roy Lichtenstein was born in New York City on October 27.
He grew up in Manhattan's Upper West Side.
He became a leading figure of the pop art movement.
He was inspired by comic-strips and news papers.
He died in New York September 29th 1997.

The Ben-Day dots printing process, named after illustrator and printer Benjamin Henry Day, Jr., is a technique dating from 1879. Depending on the effect, color and optical illusion needed, small colored dots are closely spaced, widely spaced or overlapping.
